Last thing, I probably wouldn't trust this guy's advice on any more songs. It's hard for everyone to learn G this way at first because it uses the pinky, but you'll be much better off in the long run if you commit to this fingering and master it. Also it's easier to switch to and from the C chord if you play G with fingers 2, 3, and 4. Just play the G with fingers 2, 3, and 4 so that when you switch to G7 (which uses fingers 2, 3, and 1) you only have to change one finger and can keep fingers 2 and 3 where they are. Second reason I'm frustrated: it's really dumb to play a G chord with fingers 1, 2, and 3 when you're going to switch to G7 right after it.
